Remixing, The Art Form

A new audio documentary by Berkman affiliate Benjamen Walker takes a "lawyer free" look at the art, culture, and history of the remix. Why is remixing an art form? Walker consults several authorities on the subject for answers: novelist Matthew Pearl, interactive designer Gideon D'arcangelo, and Cory Arcangel, a Nintendo hacker and one of the youngest representatives at this year’s Whitney Biennial. The hour-long feature, The Creative Remix, was recently released on Creative Commons and aired on San Francisco's KALW (91.7).
