In Playboy Interview, Google Founders Nod to Berkman

In the much talked-about interview of Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page in Playboy (now included in Google's SEC filing), Brin and Page were questioned about China's censorship of Google. Playboy asked: "Which sites cooperate with Chinese government censors?" Page answered: "Search for 'censorship' and 'Berkman' and you can get the website. It has some cool programs that automatically track what is and isn’t available on the web." More specifically, check out our new resource for information about international Internet censorship – The Open Net Initiative, a research partnership with the Berkman Center, Citizen Lab, and researchers at the University of Cambridge. Information on China specifically can be found in this report on Internet Filtering in China.
