Universities across the country are working on creative ways to reduce illegal file-sharing on their networks. After successful pilot partnerships between Napster2.0 and Penn State University and the University of Rochester, at least six more schools have announced similar plans to grant students free streaming and discounted downloads via the online music service. School administrators hope the program will make legal alternatives to illegal file-sharing more convenient and affordable. Read more from CNN.com and The Register.
