Internet Governance -- Who's Running this Show?

A group of scholars from Syracuse University and Georgia Institute of Technology have joined forces to form the Internet Governance Project -- an initiative to understand the complicated and quickly evolving field of Internet governance. While the topic has a number of meanings to different players, the interdisciplinary consortium has announced its goal of mapping the existing rules that regulate the Internet and the international agencies involved in making those rules. The group will offer this study to the United Nations' Information and Communication Technologies Task Force as a way of understanding the current state of Internet governance and the future of regulatory regimes. The group's ongoing mission is to research and publish analysis of Internet governance, and a number of readings are currently available on its website.
