The Google Edge

Google news is everywhere this week.  Its SEC filing and upcoming IPO have generated speculation and investor frenzy, as a recent story in USA Today reports.  Berkman Center Professor Jonathan Zittrain explains why a search engine has generated so much hype: "This is about being the computer user's partner in everything.  To be there for each and every task."  As the story explains, companies like Microsoft, Yahoo, AOL, and others have watched Google's success and now are fighting to reclaim the search-engine edge.
