Legal Actions against File-Sharers in EU and Canada

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) announced earlier today that legal actions against 247 alleged illegal file-sharers have been taken in Denmark, Germany, Italy, and Canada by the national recording associations on behalf of their member record companies.  According to IFPI, this is the first wave of international lawsuits outside the U.S.  Read our Digital Media breaking news report from Berkman Center Fellow Urs Gasser, or Prof. Jonathan Zittrain's comments in an AP story about the developments.
