Day Two -- The Internet at its Political Tipping Point

The unofficial theme for day of South by Southwest Interactive seemed to be Internet and politics.  The conference brought three heavyweight speakers: Zack Exley and Eli Pariser of Moveon.org, who gave a keynote address about the Internet and democracy, and Joe Trippi who spoke about his experience with the Dean campaign.  Despite the backdrop of Dean’s decline, the speakers remained adamant about the power of the Internet to transform American politics.  As Trippi reported, “Almost every cool idea we had in the campaign came from the blogs.”
