The Internet as Back Alley

In the New York Times Week in Review, Professor Jonathan Zittrain comments on the Internet as a place where politicians might be freer with their words than in other venues. He offers, "The principals themselves feel like they can act out there in a way that they wouldn't dare to do in the mainstream media." Weblogs are discussed as a way that news the public might not have heard otherwise may be brought to light.
