Toru Iiyoshi: Take Advantage of Technology for Teaching and Learning

Toru Iiyoshi, Senior Scholar and Director of the Knowledge Media Laboratory at the Carnegie Foundation, shared with the Berkman Center today the Knowledge Media Laboratory's experiences with building software with which to showcase and share teachers' work. The goal of the Laboratory is to take advantage of the growing power of emerging technologies and new media in teaching and learning. They have created a "snapshot tool" now known as the KEEP toolkit, available to all educators, originally built as an aid to their Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL) fellows to meet the goal of sharing their knowledge.
