Zittrain on "The Internet Music Copyright Wars", 10/22/03

On Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at 1:00 p.m., there will be a joint meeting of the Computer and Internet Law Committee and Intellectual Property Law Committee at the Boston Bar Association - "The Internet Music Copyright Wars." Come hear a lively point/counterpoint discussion on a topic of great interest to anyone who listens to music and has a computer (and particularly a teenager) at home -- the music file swapping lawsuits brought by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The RIAA's position will be presented by Jenner and Block's Thomas Perrelli of Washington, D.C., who represents the RIAA in connection with the 260 lawsuits brought against file swappers. Professor Jonathan Zittrain will articulate competing considerations. For a head start on the discussion, click here for a related article - The Copyright Cage - by Professor Zittrain.
