The FAM Manifesto (Freedom Access Music)

Derrick Ashong visited the Berkman Center to discuss his new project, FAM (Freedom Access Music).  He has just completed a book (available online) explaining the project: Free This CD!: the FAM Manifesto.  Freedom Access Music hopes to build a foundation which will enable musicians to release their music with a FAM license which opens their work to redistribution and reproduction, and therefore promotion.  The inspiration for this license came from open source software, which Ashong was using to produce his own music.
