Free and Open to the Public

The United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit is popularly considered the most important technology law court in the country. As the only court that hears appeals in federal patent cases aside from the Supreme Court, they set nationwide standards on the scope and contours of patent law, along with many other issues of national significance. As part of a tour of Boston-area law schools, the Federal Circuit will be holding oral arguments in four cases at Harvard Law School's historic Ames Courtroom. Attendees can watch experienced oral advocates debate actual cases on a variety of legal issues.

For additional details and summaries of the specific cases to be heard on October 8th, please visit the Cyberlaw Clinic at Harvard Law School's website (or visit here: http://brk.mn/fedcir)

The event on October 8 is an actual session of the Federal Circuit, and the Court will be hearing real cases. As such, the event is free and open to all members of the public who wish to attend. Event sponsored by Harvard Law School, the Cyberlaw Clinic at Harvard Law School and the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University. This event is part of Boston's HUBweek.
