Benoit Gaucherin is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Harvard Law School (HLS). As such he is responsible for technology operations for HLS and he is a member of Harvard's IT leadership team driving and supporting technology innovation at Harvard.

HLS has a user community of nearly 3,000 people including faculty, staff and students. HLS also operates over 20 legal services clinics that are primarily focused on under-served/under-privileged segments of the legal services market. By way of headcount HLS clinics is one of the largest legal services organization in the Boston area.

Prior to HLS, Gaucherin was Services CTO at Endeca a search technology company. He was also the first CTO at Sapient Corporation a global consulting firm where he delivered complex technology solutions across many industries including: financial services, energy services, manufacturing, federal government, retail and higher-education. Gaucherin also worked at MIT, the HayGroup, the French Air Force and many other organizations that leveraged technology to change their business.

Gaucherin is originally from France and holds a Maitrise de Mathematiques et Informatique (Mathematics and Computer Science) from the University of Caen, France and a Brevet de Technicien Superieur d'Electronique (Electrical Engineering).
