Welcome
Open Economies is a project of the Berkman Center for Internet
& Society at Harvard Law School.
Led by Berkman Center Senior Fellow James
Moore and Open Economies Legal Director Sarah
Guerrero, Open Economies is a research and action program
aimed at bridging the worldwide digital divide. The project engages
a wide community of contributors in a creative process of dialogue
and proactive policy-making, while also working closely with existing
government and business leaders.
Open Economies is committed to efforts at reaching out around the world, connecting diverse people with diverse
points of view, and using commerce as a way to move jointly forward
to create a more inclusive, sustainable world. One of our core
beliefs is that in the area of policy to promote digital entrepreneurship
much is in fact not known. Thus it is our intent not to simply
disseminate a new orthodoxy, but to explore "sensible heresies"
that may lead to breakthroughs.
