Laura Fong is a rising junior at Tufts University and an intern at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society this summer. She is interested in issues of internet governance, especially in censorship policies put forth by government and private organizations. As an intern working for the Open Net Initiative, she is working to help establish the foundation for a newly launched internet surveillance project.

Laura has worked in past summers and winter intercessions with the Department of Defense at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and continues to work with the Army's Communications-Electronics Research and Development Engineering Center (CERDEC) in leveraging technology to best serve the secure communication needs of both the civilian population within the government and the uniformed services.

Most currently, she and a fellow intern at Berkman are trying to launch a webspace that will create a unique environment for scholars from universities all around the world to share and publish research papers and media content in a way that will facilitate better intellectual discussion and collaboration amongst university undegraduates. Ideas and suggestions are appreciated!
