Fw: [h2o-discuss] RealNames mixing open and proprietary




I wonder if the administrator of this list could use the list's Email in
FROM field,
so people who click on Reply would reply to the list, not just to the
specific auther of a message.

I am highly tempted to kick off discussion, which I believe took place
before about whether there is any need to actually PAY for DNS or alike.
Why don't some people simply write their DNS like system, which
is FREE or near free ($1-4) to run and just get rid of all these parasites.

The system run by possibly FSF could just give no respect for "copyright",
ie first come - first served basis. Why should it take years to discuss
simply add-on of few suffixes to the Net (like .shop)?

This actually brings us to a question of how easily some movement can
effectively "screw" up existing technical and economical systems based
for example on DNS.

Perhaps this is a bit off-topic though.
