The Internet as a Public Good Symposium is a small, experimental and invitation-only event that focuses on key issues relating to the current and future Internet -- censorship, the digital divide, net neutrality, government policy, open data, free software and open source, peer production models, and so on.
 
We seek the participation of people who understand the relevant issues, who can speak for those affected by them and who can think lucidly about the consequences of possible actions. From this discussion, we hope to refine both our own and the global understanding of the problems and the vast promise intrinsic in these issues, and to be better able to support each other as we act.
 
The symposium is currently scheduled to be held on the Harvard campus in Cambridge MA, on July 30-31, with sponsorship from [http://mozillafoundation.org The Mozilla Foundation], [http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/home/ The Berkman Center for Internet & Society @ Harvard Law School] and [http://www.hbs.edu/ Harvard Business School]

The Internet as a Public Good Symposium is a small, experimental and invitation-only event that focuses on key issues relating to the current and future Internet -- censorship, the digital divide, net neutrality, government policy, open data, free software and open source, peer production models, and so on.

We seek the participation of people who understand the relevant issues, who can speak for those affected by them and who can think lucidly about the consequences of possible actions. From this discussion, we hope to refine both our own and the global understanding of the problems and the vast promise intrinsic in these issues, and to be better able to support each other as we act.
