The Berkman Center for Internet
& Society at Harvard Law School and the Getulio
Vargas Foundation (FGV) in Brazil have joined together to offer the
4th Internet Law Program in Rio de Janeiro. The five-day program will
be held at Le Meridien Copacabana, a luxury ocean-front hotel in the heart
of the city with first-class conference and business facilities. Lectures
will be conducted classroom style in English with Portuguese translation.
Professionals from around the world with a working knowledge of one of
these languages are encouraged to attend. No previous experience with
Internet Law is required. The online component begins February 24 and
runs through March 19, 2003. Since enrollment in the program is limited,
early registration is encouraged.
This program will be presented jointly by the Berkman
Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School and the Stanford
Center for Internet & Society at Stanford Law School. The online
instruction begins June 2 and runs through June 25. No previous experience
with Internet Law is required and international participation is encouraged.
The lectures are designed to appeal to professionals from diverse backgrounds.
American lawyers may be eligible for Continuing Legal Education (CLE)
credit. Early registration is strongly recommended as there is limited
space in the program.
