Home automation or domestic is basically building automated infrastructure for a house, termed a smart house or artificial intelligent house. Such a house can be technologically or scientifically automated. It can also comprise security features like alarm systems and access control. However, the term 'smart house' is a term that's increasingly being used and it has several applications in today's real estate market. One of its applications is real estate wherein one can find houses with automation systems installed for various reasons, for example: Security: For home automation, one needs to understand how security devices work and why they're important in any house. Basically, such devices help protect a home against burglary, fire, carbon monoxide, flood, earthquake, smoke, theft, and other hazards. Therefore, installing these devices, either through wireless sensors (which are becoming more popular) or wired devices (which are less popular because they can't easily be moved) will ensure the safety of your property and your family members.

Automotive: Automotive devices have their own place Connected Homes, with the most common ones being vehicle alarms, headlights, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) devices, etc. Today, car manufacturers are making use of modern technologies such as Bluetooth and WiFi to enhance the features of existing devices and to build new devices that can be operated by a smartphone, for example: navigation systems, hands-free accessories, headlights, etc. Automotive devices can also be operated with a smartphone, which is convenient and highly functional. Thus, automation technology can help a car owner to drive safely. Video Surveillance: In terms of home automation security systems, there are many uses for cameras. For instance, security cameras can be installed to watch employees as they enter and exit your house or business. Security cameras can also be installed in hallways and entrances to ensure that no one enters unaided and that they leave when you wish to. In this manner, a home security system can help you protect your property. Smart Home Lighting: These days, there is hardly any home where we don't see signs of lights being turned on or off. In fact, people are installing smart home devices such as light sensors, motion detectors and remotely controlled lights to control lighting in different areas of the house. In addition, they can also be used to detect fire, distress signals and other situations which could cause damage to your property. A home security system can be used to prevent theft and unauthorized entry. With all these devices, your property is much safer and you know your loved one is still safe and secure in your home. There are different home-automation security systems available on the market and they come in varying prices. However, you can get affordable systems with sensors that will alert you whenever an intruder or a guest tries to enter your home. You can also use smartphone applications to remotely control these sensors and devices.
