Student Response Systems (SRS) are polling tools used to increase interactivity in a classroom by allowing students to respond to questions asked by a teacher via electronic means; responses are collected and often displayed for all students to see.

SRS have been "variously described by vendors and academic users as: audience-paced feedback systems (APF), classroom performance systems (CPS), electronic response systems (ERS), hyper-active teaching technology (H-ITT), interactive engagement (IE), interactive audience response systems (IRIS), interactive learning systems (ILS), interactive student response systems (ISRS), personal response systems (PRS), group response systems (GRS), and wireless response systems (WRS)." (Lowery 2005, 2, footnote 1)

The largest SRS manufacturer for the K-12 and Higher Education markets is Turning Technologies.
