Garthwaite, J., 2009a - The article discusses the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Steve Chu’s, plan to have the U.S. Department of Energy develop a free open-source building energy efficiency software package that can be used to help all new buildings in the US and abroad, be more efficient in their energy use. He regards collaboration as an integral part of the software development as well as making it free.
