I just got though read through the bill. It's improved a bit over the first
version (SSSCA). At least he's recognizing existing Copyright doctrines and
people rights to do some copying. But DRM requirments in virtually all digital
equipment is still there.
When I read one section of the bill, my first thought was that I got
transported to a parallel universe.
And there is a most particular passage in the bill. I's in cbdtpa-09.jpg

Blink, Blink. WTF? "Is that a joke? April first isn't for a couple of weeks
yet."
Source code will be open? I'm still scratching my head on that one. Is that a
bone for the Open Source world? Do they really know what they realize what
that will result in?
