Knowledge-based universeWhile not yet in widespread use, the phrase knowledge-based universe is increasingly being used to describe the universe of knowledge knowledg that is accessible in digital form via the Internet, and to incorporate the recognition of this universe as a realm of the natural world. Unlike the material universe, the knowledge-based universe if governed by the laws and properties of information and networks; in particular, abundance in this universe is not constrained by the laws of conservation of mass and energy.
