Climate Change Summer - www.climate-change-summer.net - is a free and open public partnership based on a season of learning, teaching, gathering, sharing and organizing information, and taking action in relation to the climate change crisis that is intended to make full use of free, open source and reasonably-priced software, tools and resources in support of broad-based collaborative participation that draws on the peer-production and networked information economy resources that are described so effectively in The Wealth of Networks.

The call for Climate Change Summer has grown out of Climate Change 2.0 - www.climate-change-two.net - a joint initiative of the Information and Communications Sub-Committee of the NGO Committee on Education and the Networking Sub-Committee of the Planning Committee for the 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference, to be held at UN Headquarters from September 5-7, 2007, on the theme How Climate Change Impacts Us All[1]
