Signal/Noise 2k5: Creative Revolution? at Harvard Law School April 8, 2005

Signal or Noise, a conference series co-hosted by the Berkman Center for Internet and Society at Harvard Law School, the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, the Harvard Committee on Sports and Entertainment Law, and Gartner G2 will be held this year on April 8. Through an exciting mix of performances, demonstrations and panel discussions, Signal/Noise 2k5 will explore audience creativity enabled by digital technologies and built upon commercial media.  The conference will examine the questions and possibilities raised by new genres and new roles for artists and consumers.  The implications for our legal, ethical, cultural and business environments can be dramatic.  An eclectic group of artists, scholars, activists and lawyers will take an entertaining and provocative look at these important issues.  We hope you will join us!

Signal/Noise 2k5: Briefing Books

Signal/Noise 2k5 Briefing Books are now available to conference participants. Prepared by JOLT students at Harvard Law School, these briefing materials provide background and overview readings for some of the core legal and ethical questions that will be raised at the conference. Briefing materials are organized by conference themes and are intended to expound upon various aspects of each theme.

Sign-Up Open for Food For Thought Dinners

Click here to sign up for a Food For Thought dinner.  These dinners are meant to be an opportunity for conference attendees to converse in a more intimate and in-depth setting with the conference speakers and performers.  All dinners will start at 7:00 at the restaurant listed on the information page.  Reservations are being held under the name of the discussion leader.  Because of limited space, you must sign up if you want to attend.  Please note that each attendee will pay for his/her own meal.

Registration has officially opened for Signal/Noise 2k5.  The fee is $10 for students and $20 for non-students.  This will subsidize the cost of lunch and conference materials.  Payment can be taken through paypal or by check.
