Notes

May Workshop

Almost there. Giovanni Rodriguez is making headway. Confident we'll get it, just needs to close one last loop.

VRM @ SXSW

Where will VRM Hit

Technology is available, but our efforts are a bit scattered. Iain has assets available, but the context isn't quite ready yet.

It's a bit of a vaporware question, just asking... begging! for bragging about our own apps. Joe: the kind of people that ask this question aren't actually going to listen to it.

Twitter is cranking up users without a business model. But isn't twitter already allowing personal RFPs? Sort of, in a limited, colloquial, unstructured, informal way.

ListenLog

Interesting insights: by exposing to users what is in the ListenLog, we are actually educating users about what exactly has been tracked by service providers all along. This might be rather surprising to some.

Almost certainly, not all application partners will be buying in 100% to the listenlog vision: all data in the log, all tracked data licensed from the log. Most will still want to track their own data as well.

So, we are likely to start with tools that don't require participants to adhere to all the VRM rules from day one.

That transition is not so much around the technology...the technology is there. What's not there is exposure of the issues that will excite entrepreneurs and users.

The good news is that everything moves at the speed of light on the Internet, once it makes it out of the corona.
