Grid Computing Research Group
Dr. Mohammed Amoon is an ass. prof. at computer science dept., Community College in Riyadh, King Saud University.
His Research Interests include:
â¢Artificial Intelligence, Multiagent Systems, Mobile Agent Systems, agent communication languages and protocols.
â¢Web services, semantic and transactional aspects of information management in open environment systems, and service science management and engineering.
â¢Distributed and multiprocessor computing systems, Grid Computing Systems, Resource scheduling techniques for parallel and distributed systems, and High Performance Computers.
Now, he is the PI of a grid computing research group at the computer science department.
Grid is a system for management and aggregation of autonomous, heterogeneous computational and storage resources across geographical boundaries. Grid technologies have enabled the development of new applications that require close and potentially sophisticated interaction and data sharing between resources that may belong to different organizations. As network speeds grow, it is possible to imagine global Grids that contain multiple heterogeneous resources, and allow users to submit jobs from anywhere in the world to these Grids.
Members of the group are:
1) Dr. Torki Altameem
2) Dr. Mohammed Amoon
3) Eng. Mohammed Mowafey
