Berkman Center for Internet & Society and Center for Research on Computation and Society Join Fellowship Programs

The Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and the Center for Research in Computation and Society (CRCS), based at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS), have joined their fellowship programs for the 2009-2010 academic year. This collaboration will intensify both Centers’ exchanges across the University and stimulate multidisciplinary research efforts in areas ranging from ethics to economics.

Google Books Search Settlement Open Workshop: Alternative Approaches to Open Digital Libraries

This workshop seeks to bring a fresh perspective to the complex and widely debated topic of the Google Book Search Settlement. It will examine the idea of possible alternative universes and offer specific proposals for scenarios that may arise whether or not the settlement is approved.
