Trust frameworks are mostly about governance, not standards. IDESG, which I'm heavily involved with, has been around for 4 years, is heavily funded, and has a good charter.

Success for any of these trust framework efforts is hard to predict because the very largest of companies, the ones with market power, are not at the table. Whether cybersecurity, or consumer karma, or heavy-handed regulation will drive the governance efforts of one or more trust frameworks is still TBD.

Just got pointed to this new trust framework initiative:
<http://www.digitalcatapultcentre.org.uk/open-calls/trust-framework-initiati
ve/
>.

Anybody here know more about it?

OIX, also active in the UK, has some trust frameworks already:
<http://openidentityexchange.org/resources/trust-frameworks>

So does the US gov: <http://www.idmanagement.gov/trust-framework-solutions>

Lots more here: <https://www.google.com/search?q=trust+framework>

A couple of questions:

1) Do we need trust frameworks?

2) Do we need one more?
