This *may* have gone around before due to its publication earlier this 
year, but I was really impressed reading:

Very interesting that they're using third-party identity providers as an 
alternative to (in addition to) the Post Office.  Presumably the 
involvement by Mydex and other next-gen pro-citizen services in the future 
means that keeping a user-side copy of all data government maintains on 
you (that you are allowed access to, at least) will be a practical 
reality.
