' VRM is starting to take off. Not everywhere, and not all at once, but it's happening.'
As compelling evidence of that claim (and another reason to attend VRM day and IIW), a group of well-regarded investors agreed to participate in a session on Thursday May 8th focused on funding startups in the user-centric space.
Here are the investors attending so far. As you can see by checking out their sites, these are accomplished investment pros so their taking most of a day out of their lives to interact with IIW’s attendees is a clear signal that we must be doing more than one thing right.
1. Kayvan Baroumand www.nestgsv.com (CEO of well-regarded incubator backed by a global investment group)
2. Noah Doyle http://www.javelinvp.com (accomplished IT pro and successful VC)
3. Keith Teare http://www.archimedeslabs.com/ (online pioneer and a founder of TechCrunch)
4. Derek Anderson www.startupgrind.com (founded an influential global startup community of 60,000 entrepreneurs with chapters in 35 countries and 85 cities)
5. Matt Oguz www.venture-science.com (fund taking a unique data approach to investing)
6. Anandan Jayaraman Meta Edge, https://www.linkedin.com/in/anandanj (successful angel familiar with demand-side space)
For full details see the announcement Phil sent as part of a reminder about attending IIW.

I am extremely encouraged by what I've seen recently in Australia and New Zealand, and continuing to happen in the U.K., France and here in North America.
