Yes, great article!  I'm having discussions with a number of friends at enterprise customers to raise awareness of Personal Clouds and the need for them to make data available.  The objective is to get them to either attach a machine-readable XML file to existing e-receipts, or to open an API to the same data.  I have already begun referring these people to the article so they can pass it up the food chain to inform these discussions.  Everyone wants to know how big the market is today and this explains why planning for Personal Clouds is a sound strategy despite it currently being a niche market.

Also the NSTIC meeting this week went well.

I am recomending that companies with working products (particularly personal data stores) considering being part bids for the next round of Pilots (10m is allocated for these) which were announced yesterday.

I will be setting a date on Monday for briefing PDEC member companies about why I am making this recommendation, the opportunity and my recommendations.

This briefing will only be for PDEC members  - they pay to belong and this is the value they pay for in belonging "I go to boring meetings so you don't have to" I have lived through the most painful meetings I have ever been at all in service to them.

It is easy to join you can click through and fill out the form on the site http://www.pde.cc
