We're about to find out.

In the UK we've just launched the midata innovation lab. As far as we know this is a world first in creating a facility for individuals to gather, assemble and store their own data around themselves including financial transaction, energy data, telco data and lots more, using their own personal data store to share this data with service providers under their control.

We've got 20 organisations taking part, including the UK's biggest loyalty scheme provider, the BBC, GfK a global market research company, one of the UK's largest energy company, one of the UK's largest telcos etc.
