HI VRMers...

This summer I asked you to consider joining the NSTIC plenary and to vote for me in the Management Council elections. (See accomplishments below)

I'm changing my category to Small Business & Entrepreneurs (#11) specifically to represent and talk more about VRM / Personal Data Business models and perspectives of businesses.

If you did join you MUST sign the new agreement by Feb 14th to VOTE in spring elections. See here: http://www.idecosystem.org/page/new-member-application-form

If you didn't join I encourage you to do so.

If you want to vote for me you also need to change your category to #11 where I will be running as the delegate for small businesses & entrepreneurs.

Key things:

* If you are based outside the US or a non-US citizen you CAN also join.

* Join as a Participating member in category 11 - either as your organization or your company (then you can vote for me

* See my site updates (new video)  I'm running for Mayor*  (Management Council) http://www.kaliyaformayor.org

* Consider coming in person to the Plenary in the Bay Area May 9-10 - its the same week as IIW.

* You can make a difference if big companies push stuff through after consensus isn't reached we need to have enough people in the plenary who can vote against such moves.

* Economic models are critical in the current conversation. Business models within the personal data ecosystem have relevance.

* Personal Clouds/Data Stores and services around them solve the hard use-cases.

* Accomplishments so far:

* As was to be expected most of the attention over the fall was consumed in governance issues.

* We are finally getting to real work and I am on the Work Plan and Business Plan committees of the Management Council (formed last week).

* I lead the Holistic Pictures subcommittee of the management council that collected great images of aspects of what we are working on.

* I have given advice (that has been implemented) to more senior leadership of the IDESG about approaches to soliciting input and effectively leveraging the in person 100-200 person meetings in a way that gets results.

Don't hesitated to contact me if you have more questions about this or how to be effectively involved if you have limited time.

- Kaliya
