Diddo... its centralized...that IS the issue...not just the business model.

I just met with Evan Prodromo (fearless leader of the Federated Social Web
efforts - two summits on the topic in two years, leader of the W3C Community
group) on Saturday afternoon and by the end of this week we will hopefully
have confirmed that the Federated Social Web will meet on October 22nd (with
Evan leading the invitation process and programming choices for the day -
presentations from existing efforts, promising protocols, talking about
critical issues) and then that group community flowing into IIW.

I see it as complementary we have three major sub communities of IIW meeting
in depth on Monday to make the most out of Open Space time Tuesday to
Thursday.

We are also talking to the WEF folks about how that community actively
participates at IIW...

AND now that I just spend the day in London with Markus presenting to an
investment fund who is very keen to engage in supporting a diverse range of
efforts...I'm keen on working with known investors/potential investors in the
space how they also connect/self organize at/around IIW.
