Okay, I've turned on editing permission (making maintainers) for about 20
people whose handles I recognized. Some of you had several handles
accumulated. I turned on all handles that had made contributions to the wiki.

The two things to do now are:

A) If you can't get into the wiki and want to, let me know. Some others (e.g.
Judi and Dean) are also Sysops and can turn on permissions.

B) Take a look at Recent Changes on the Wiki:

< http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/projectvrm/Special:RecentChanges>

If you look at the last 500 changes in the last 30 days...

<http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/projectvrm/?title=Special:RecentChanges&limit=500&days=30&hideminor=0>

... you'll see that BerkmanSysop and I have deleted and blocked a pile of
spam and spammers. There's a lot more weeding to do, however.

There are short-cuts. For frequent spammers, you can see their whole list of
"contribs" and delete or rollback their postings, as well as block them.
Here's one example that we haven't killed yet:

<http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/projectvrm/Special:Contributions/Mobilephonerecycling>

Note that those last 500 changes only take us back to 20 September.

So there's a lot farther to go.

I am sure there are some short-cuts I don't know. Suggestions welcome.
Volunteer weeders too.

BTW, one interesting find was spammers who actually killed other spam,
emulating good behavior, and then sneaking in their own spam, usually toward
the end of an article,

Thanks!
