That’s a great one too, and already underway.

Still interested in using QiQoChat to seed #reVRM:  Working group for VRM + Personal Data in real estate.

The National Association of Realtors is holding their midyear convention in less than 10 days in DC, and significantly, the March / April cover story of Realtor Magazine was:

Real Estate and the Internet of Things

Same article with my annotated notes & highlights

NEXT STEPS:  Virtual or real reVRM field trip to RExpo?

Any interested in an informal reVRM working group like to meet in DC to tour the Realtor Expo spotting trends that are ripe for VRM as well as predatory uses of personal data? The Non-Member Trade Expo-Only Registration: $40.00
(and we may be able to get free passes from vendors)

This is an excellent idea.

For example, Personal Cloud vs/+ PIMS and other terms for the same thing, or close enough.

Hi Lucas, my inclination is that the best use of this facility would be to pick a specific VRM topic that is open to debate, then set the target output as agreement of something that would best be adopted across the community.

Terminology, for example, we don't as yet really have a clear, rich lexicon with strong definitions that we could all use and know precisely what is meant by that.

I think that would require a multi-week/ month package with participation both in direct conversation and subsequent iteration through wiki or similar.

Would that be doable?

Cheers

Iain

Hi All,

Only 5 people posted their availability for a VRM Projects and Technologies Showcase: http://qiqochat.com/scheduler/vrmyo  I was hoping for more, but I know that everyone is busy and receives a lot of email so they may have missed it last week.

So I think it's prudent to not schedule this event yet and instead open up a few questions to the group:
  • What is a better way to plan such an online like this?  How many weeks' notice are necessary?
  • Are there 2-3 people who would like to be co-organizers to make it more successful?
  • What would make this an event that you would get excited about?

Hi All,

I'm convening a free, casual showcase of VRM projects and technologies.  This is a community-powered event, and you are invited to demo what you've got!

The event consists of six 15-minute time slots, for a total of 90 minutes. Each time slot will have several presentations and you can move between them as you like.  You can stay for as many presentations as you like.

We're looking at May 18, 19, or 20th.  Before we choose a date/time, please indicate your availability on this page: http://vrm.qiqochat.com/scheduler/vrmyo

Please reply to me or reply to all with questions and suggestions.
