Many here are likely familiar with Yasha Levine’s articles on the surveillance economy. He’s now expanding them into a book about ‘how Silicon Valley created the world’s most effective surveillance apparatus’.

Interestingly he’s self-publishing via a Kickstarter campaign, rather than the conventional publisher route, for reasons we’d appreciate. He’s informed on topics dear to us and persistent in his exposures, so deserves our support, IMHO. Details here:
