FTC point of view is also...

* A data leakage problem from the content site point

The bad news is that surveillance marketing destroys
more value than it captures -- kind of like the
guys who bust into a pipeline to steal a few cans
of gasoline.

The good news is that the widespread destruction
means everyone else has an incentive to fix it...
