When I was writing My Digital footprint in 2008 I presented a model called “the rainbow of trust”, trust based marketing generated on user data.  I tested it in a number of places but the education level to get companies to understand is too high to scale. The full version is in the book but a short extract is on the blog.

Glen Urban is one of the most respected marketing scholar of our time (IMO of course). He began its work on trust quite a while ago (2000 I think). But I am not really aware of its consulting activities.

If you click through its working paper page, you'll find very good pieces of work on trust
