I should think it would not be hard to download messages from gmail and read them in a shell that prevents active code from beaconing. It may be possible to set the Outlook client to do that, or third party clients may be available. No situation related to email surveillance has annoyed me to the point of seeking such remedies, but I would like to understand the options, if anyone has more comments on counter-measures.

Concerning the use of "NSA-level" or "NSA-style" monikers in marketing it is the second time I've seen a private surveillance or analytics tool vendor use it. I suppose they think it makes their product sound extra-powerful or they may be positioning the product partly for a defense industry audience.

Just so I understand... Are the "users" both B2B customers and B2C users (customers' customers or targets)?

Still not clear to me, but it's late and I need to crash, so I may be missing more than usual.
