I've opted in and out of that, experimentally, and have now stayed opted out.
The "interest based advertising" I saw was always lame and off-base.

The problem is the assumption that we are buying what we're looking for, all
the time. Most of the time we're not. We just want to find stuff.

Knowing beats guesswork, and we're the ones who know what we actually want.

Search can be improved, however, which is why some of us (notably Joe
Andrieu) have been working on it, from the VRM side.
