Take a site template full of lorem ipsum, put
"Dr. Bob Dobbs, DDS" on it, and submit. How long can
that take? Have a set of templates, keep adding new
ones, don't enter each one too many times, and when
one wins, retire it for a while or rework it.

More strategies here:

Kind of reminds me of this scene:

(story starts here: http://www.electricsheepcomix.com/zaccharine/ )

We should all know by now that it's a bad idea to
do spec work instead of paying work, but what about
spec work that's an alternative to other activities,
or spec work by people who aren't "qualified" to do
paying work? If it's done openly and in a field with
strong attribution norms, it can be a powerful form
of signaling.
