Am I completely missing something obvious?
Let me know what it is if you are.
The problem is how to tell someone your favourite colour is blue AND to be
able to control whether:
A) they can record that fact
B) they can refer to that fact in future business with you
C) they can communicate that fact to anyone else
Of course, no such control is possible, or rather the control you do have is
whether or not you reveal your connection to the trading identity you have
created for this purpose - and if you don't, then it may not greatly matter
what anyone does with the information revealed by this identity in its
process of doing business.
Most people appear to assume that one uses one's human identity and has
magic/I mean sufficiently advanced technology able to control what others do
with the information communicated to them. I expect such technology will
arrive at about the same time as undefeatable DRM.
