It is a 3rd party.  Just like credit cards, paypal, etc.  It's only purpose
is to manage data.  The only asset they have to sell is data.  If consumers
don't want it, they will sell it to someone else. Google's shareholders will
demand this.

On first look its not VRM.

Its the google data store = Not under customer's control.
