Apologies to those already in the know, but ultimately, you do
not involve a third party. Then you don't have to trust what you don't
involve.
In an ideal world there are only two parties: you and the
other.
It's all peer-to-peer. Vendor has relationships with
customers. Customer has relationships with vendors. Trader has relationships
with traders. There is no-one else. It's all
disintermediated.
The third and fourth parties are what we'll kludge along with
until such time as p2p systems can be developed.
So, do carry on. There'll still be a need to put your eggs in
Google's basket until such time as DIY basket technology becomes
available.
What would be the characteristics of a viable trusted third party?
