+1

The paper is:
(1) an easy read
(2) solid grounding in terminology, history, current thoughts
(3) stimulating for VRM solutions

ProjVRM Group, ID-Legal Group, and Friends,

I think this is a must-read report. It's written by JD Lasica for Aspen
Institute:

Identity in the Age of Cloud Computing:
The next-generation Internet’s impact on business, governance and
social interaction

http://www.socialmedia.biz/2009/05/08/free-ebook-identity-in-the-age-of-cloud-computing/

From page 82 (completely out of context, but context not lost):
While consumers are swimming in a sea of information, they do not
have powerful constituent-based organizations advocating to redress
the balance of power between individuals and institutions that are
building power based on these warehouses of data. The groups that do
advocate effectively for the public, such as the Electronic Privacy
Information Center and the Center for Democracy& Technology, are
massively outgunned and do not have a broad base of constituents,
participants noted.
Ok, that's my spin in preparation for the upcoming meeting. I suggest
that if you're flying in, download and read it on the plane. (The report
is 110 pages including cover pages& TOC (12 pgs), footnotes& appendix
(20 pgs))

Thanks Joe for retweeting this report. I'm amazed that I was online at
that moment and caught it in my stream.

I look forward to many interesting conversations next week.
