ProjVRM Group, ID-Legal Group, and Friends,

I think this is a must-read report. It's written by JD Lasica for Aspen
Institute:

Identity in the Age of Cloud Computing:
The next-generation Internet’s impact on business, governance and
social interaction

http://www.socialmedia.biz/2009/05/08/free-ebook-identity-in-the-age-of-cloud-computing/

From page 82 (completely out of context, but context not lost):
> While consumers are swimming in a sea of information, they do not
> have powerful constituent-based organizations advocating to redress
> the balance of power between individuals and institutions that are
> building power based on these warehouses of data. The groups that do
> advocate effectively for the public, such as the Electronic Privacy
> Information Center and the Center for Democracy & Technology, are
> massively outgunned and do not have a broad base of constituents,
> participants noted.
Ok, that's my spin in preparation for the upcoming meeting. I suggest
that if you're flying in, download and read it on the plane. (The report
is 110 pages including cover pages & TOC (12 pgs), footnotes & appendix
(20 pgs))

Thanks Joe for retweeting this report. I'm amazed that I was online at
that moment and caught it in my stream.

I look forward to many interesting conversations next week.
