Hobnox Audiotool is a full-featured Flash application for creating electronic music. Similar to popular desktop based software, like Propellerhead’s Reason, it is highly visual, and emulates some kind of a stylized rack of synthesizers, mixers, effect boxes and other things. I still don’t understand what half of the panels do, but they do make sounds now and then, which is a good sign.

Goodbye, desktop applications.

I’m doing a short seminar on Storm Thorgerson this Thursday, and just came across this madness of an album cover. This is the cover art for XTC’s Go 2 from 1978, designed by Hipgnosis. Lightyears away from what I associate with Hipgnosis and Storm Thorgerson, which is quirky, elaborate and highly conceptual visuals, it’s still an interesting cover.
