About Student Programs 

BKC’s Student Programs team serves as a conduit channeling student energy toward enrichment and educational offerings provided by the Berkman Klein Center. Our engagement opportunities range from light - attending an event - to involved - co-organizing an event or program. We seek to co-create and offer programs that are edifying, diverse, and support student learning in Internet studies and beyond.

About this position

The Student Engagement Research Assistant will work with the Berkman Klein Center Program Manager to enhance program offerings for students.

Key Responsibilities 

Primary Duties

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies for programs and events, which includes building relationships with peers and organizations across Harvard to effectively promote BKC opportunities.
  • Support logistical preparation and administration of program offerings.
  • Contribute to the content of a monthly student bulletin email to highlight events and opportunities.

Secondary Duties

  • Research and propose methods for integrating AI tools into the existing program design.
  • Analyze participant survey data to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational programs, compile reports, and provide insights into students needs and program impact.
  • Assist in the development of resources or toolkits that help sustain future programming. 
About you
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a willingness to interact with peers across the university.
  • Ability to occasionally attend programs to conduct research and evaluate program effectiveness.
Eligibility/Other information
  • This position is currently hybrid.  
  • To be eligible for this position, you must be a currently enrolled student at Harvard.
  • The time commitment would range between 5-10 hours per week.
  • NOTE: We are looking for 2 people for 5-7 hours per week or 1 person for up to 10 hours per week.
  • The ideal start date for this position is as soon as possible.
  • Unless otherwise noted, the hourly wage for the above positions is $21 per hour.
  • No other benefits are provided.
